A blogger is always troubled by the question of how frequently s/ he should post. In the past, I have been too. And, unfortunately, there is no right or wrong answer to this. Bloggers spend a considerable amount of time contemplating this aspect and carrying out some trial and error.
While I cannot speak about others, I have had a few realisations after blogging for 10 years –
Quality Over Quantity

When it comes to writing, I am a perfectionist. I have tried to curb this tendency for the last few years because perfectionism and productivity hardly make good bedfellows. But I still cannot churn out a half-hearted blog post!
But if you are writing something that has not been proofread or has factual inaccuracies or has insensible recommendations, sooner or later it will stop working for you. Then, it will not matter if you are posting every hour or every day!
What Does My Audience Want?
Again, not an easy answer! Even if just 10 people read my blog posts, each of them would have a different expectation from my blog. I cannot really cater to every one of them but what I can try to do is to catch the pulse and work on that.

For example, for a long time, I was resistant to utilising Instagram fully as part of my blogging. I used to feel that different kinds of people are loyal to the two platforms. But then I began integrating and sussed that the two complemented each other.
Or, at least, they did not harm each other!
In Your Face or Out Of Sight?
Nobody wants to read a blog post an hour. I have myself turned off subscriptions when I have been flooded with blogs that seem to come hurtling at me at 100 kmph. But also, nobody remembers a blog if one post is made once a year!

So, I figured out that there has to be an optimum duration/ frequency. Too less or too much and the reader goes missing!
A Regular Pace
While I am no blogging expert, I think all of us bloggers have to build a pace that works for us and to try to stick to it. Maybe daily suits you. Or weekly. Or fortnightly. Or monthly. Or quarterly. Make this a habit, combine this with quality and I think we are good to go!
But this reminds me that while I aimed to post on a weekly basis on this blog, I have been lagging behind due to other work fronts. I have all the content but my time management sucks! In 2024, should I work towards fulfilling this goal OR realign my goal (to fortnightly maybe)?

You tell me – would you like to read more from me or less?
